Energise Exercise Classes
A wide range of exercise sessions are offered in the Energise
exercise classes, to strengthen, burn fat or just improve general
fitness. There is something for everyone and our qualified
instructors will be happy to assist you in choosing the right
class.
The Energise programme offers a wide, diverse and
exciting programme for both keep fit enthusiasts and
beginners.

Aqua
Aerobics
|
A pool based workout that uses the
water as resistance for a great cardiovascular and toning class.
Suitable for non-swimmers.

cardiovascular workout! |
| Body Pump |
A class designed to tone and shape those muscles. Resistance
equipment including weights and band may be used. |
| Body Combat |
A workout combining kicks and punches, not only a great way to
burn calories but a fantastic stress buster. |
| Circuits |
Set around a series of work stations this workout improves
cardiovascular fitness and increases muscular strength and
endurance. All participants work to their own fitness levels. Still
one of the most effective classes you can do. |
| Bounce & Tone |
A double challenge fitness workout, enjoy the variety of the
rebounder and body tone. |
| Step It Up |
The original is back. An hour of aerobic conditioning with the
added bonus of toning legs and bums. |
| Dance Fusion |
A unique fusion of dance styles to tone and shape those
muscles and improving cardiovascular fitness. |
| Strengthen Up |
An all over strength and tone class to challenge the body. |
| Pilates |
Based on the principles of
re-balancing the bodies alignment. Pilates is a fusion of eastern
and western philosophies teaching breathing , body mechanics,
balance, co-ordination, strength and flexibility. Focuses on core
stability.

Please be aware that the Leisure Centre may require payment on
booking for certain activities and sessions and there is a 24 hour
cancellation policy, therefore, if a session is cancelled without
giving 24 hours notice, the Leisure Centre will not offer a refund
for the paid activity or session. Also please note that
members are entitled to make bookings for activities and sessions
up to 14 days in advance, and non members can make bookings up to 7
days in advance.
Par-Q Screening Forms
- All customers will need to complete a Par-Q screening form
prior to attending any exercise class. If you have not already
completed a Par-Q form, please ask at reception.
- Upon completing the form, please hand to your class instructor
to sign the form off, to enable you to participate. If you have any
medical or health related problems that result in the instructor
being unable to sign your form off, you will need to obtain a
doctors note or letter to confirm that they are happy for you to
attend the classes. In this instance, if a note cannot be obtained,
you will not be permitted to participate in the classes.
- Once you have completed a Par-Q it will be kept on file and
used as a reference in the event of an emergency.If you have
completed a Par-Q form and your health changes at any point, you
must contact reception where you will be asked to complete a new
form.
