100 YEARS OLD

Marjorie Lewis of Springhill Lane, Lower Penn, achieved her
centenary birthday on Wednesday 25th January and received a
surprise visit from the Chairman of South Staffordshire Council,
Councillor Mrs. Sonja Oatley MBE, who presented her with a bouquet
of flowers for her special day.
Mrs Lewis worked until the age of 80 as a
relief cook and housekeeper at a local care home, she has two sons,
five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and five great, great
grandchildren.
Councillor Oatley said:
“100 years old is quite an achievement, and I am
very pleased to visit Marjorie to wish her a very happy birthday,
and present her with a bouquet of flowers to help celebrate such a
special day.”
