Lapley Wins Best Kept Village Competition

 

LAPLEY WINS

BEST KEPT VILLAGE COMPETITION

 

Lapley won the best small village and the best overall village in South Staffordshire in this year’s Best Kept Village Competition.  Parish Chairman, Cllr. Barbara Cox, was presented with the trophy, on Tuesday 18th October, by the Chairman of South Staffordshire Council, Cllr. Mrs. Sonja Oatley MBE and Jan Goode, Director of Customer Services of SSHA.

 

The Competition was organised by The Community Council of Staffordshire.  A total of 51 villages entered the competition.

 

Cllr Oatley said:

 

“Congratulations and well done to Lapley and all the residents for winning the Best Kept Village Competition.  I would like to thank all the other villages for taking part, and wish them the best of luck in the future.”
