New job club for Huntington

Job hunters in Huntington are being offered an opportunity to
get back to work at a new work club which is opening in the village
on Thursday 3rd November.
The Café will run every fortnight from this
date as part of a new initiative to help local people back into
work.
Local people who are out of work and are
looking for a helping hand to get a job can get advice and support
from employment experts and local businesses, as well as gain
formal qualifications
Job seekers will also get top tips and advice
about preparing CV’s, filling in online job applications, covering
letters, interview techniques and job searching.
The launch of the new work café will be marked
with an employment fayre giving job hunters the chance to apply for
jobs with local employers such as Allied Health Care as well as
access apprenticeships with JML Training.
More information about local job opportunities
as well as advice from local employment experts will be on hand
throughout the session too.
Councillor David
Billson, Deputy Leader at South Staffordshire Council
said:
“This is our
fourth job club in the district and we’re really hoping that we can
help local people in Huntington get back to work. The last few
years have been really tough for the area so anything we can do to
help people get back into work is a bonus”.
