South Staffordshire Council's What's On - Guidance Notes

General Guidance  

• Event Date's
  The format of the date is (DD/MM/YYYY), the easiest way to select the date is by clicking on the calendar icon and selecting the date from the pop-up calendar. Alternatively you can manually type the date into the text field. If the event only lasts one day then ensure that the start date and end date both match.
  
  
• Event Description
  Please enter as much key information as possible for the event. A maximum entry of 1000 characters is allowed to describe your event.
  
  
• Admission
  Please enter all admission costs for the event here indicating the different price bands, .e.g. Children, Adults, Concessions, etc... Where no admission will be charged please specify Free Entry .
  
  
• Postcode
  Please enter the postcode of the event's venue, this will allow the 'What's On' application to provide the public with a map of the venue along with the provision for obtaining directions to the event. If you don't know the postcode of the venue the Royal Mail website will allow you to search for the postcode. The postcode should be entered in the following format, WV8 1PX.
  

• Time
  The time field allows for free text entry, please enter a start time and finish time, e.g. 9am to 5pm.
  

• Telephone number
  Please enter your full telephone number, the area code should NOT be in brackets ( ).
  

• Website address
  The addition of your website address (URL) is optional. Your URL should be entered in the following format www.sstaffs.gov.uk
  
  
• Submit your Event
  When you have entered all the information for the event and your contact details, click on the Submit event button to save your event. If you have not filled in any fields correctly messages will be displayed on screen to inform you where corrections need to be made. When all corrections have been made click on the Submit event button again to save your details.
  
  

• Clear text fields
  Please click this button if you want to clear your current entry and start from new.

Disclaimer

• Under The Data Protection Act 1998, the personal information you provide within this form will be held securely by South Staffordshire Council only and not passed to any third party. It will only be used to inform you on further opportunities relating the events.

• Any information provided will be reviewed by our licensing department, and if successful will appear on the events page within South Staffordshire Councils website.

• These records will be kept by South Staffordshire Council for 5 years and used to inform you of any future information regarding events, unless you inform us otherwise.
