Joined 2nd Brewood Scout Group in 1975 and has held the positions of Group Treasurer (1975-1988), Instructor and in 1998 became the Group Chairman.

Became a member of the Brewood & District Rotary Club in 1989 and was a founder President from 1990-1992.

Fellow of the Institute of British Engineers.

Associate Member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health.

Member of Brewood Civic Society from its commencement.

Member of Brewood Christmas Lights Committee.

Member of the Brewood Music Festival Committee.

Member of the Stafford Rambling Club.
