4. Report of the Leader of the Council on the Council’s Draft Medium Term Financial Strategy and 2008/09 Budget Proposals.

Note:

(i) This key decision is submitted for in accordance with the revised Budget and Policy Framework Procedure Rules.

(ii) Would members please bring their copy of the Draft Medium Term Financial Strategy and 2008/2009 Budget proposals, previously circulated for the meeting of the Executive on 4th December 2007 (Agenda Item 9) and the Executive on the 8^th January 2008 (Agenda Item 6). Should members wish to request a copy of the papers for either meeting, please contact Governance and Scrutiny Services at your earliest convenience for arrangements to be made.

(iii) To enable detailed and informed scrutiny/debate on the proposals, would members please e.mail any specific questions to the Head of Governance and Scrutiny Services and the relevant Portfolio Holder by not later than 9th January 2008.
