A meeting of the HEALTH SCRUTINY PANEL  will be held in the Committee Room 1, Council Offices, Codsall, on Thursday, 3rd August, 2006, at 6.00p.m. when I hope it will be convenient for you to attend.

1. Appointment of Chairman for the remainder of the Municipal Year 2006/2007.
 
2. Appointment of Vice-Chairman for the remainder of the Municipal Year 2006/2007.

5. To note the following change in the membership of the Health Scrutiny Panel, which will also be reported to the next meeting of the Overview and Scrutiny Committee:
 
Delete Councillor B.P.Bates
 
Add Councillor Mrs.J.A.Johnson  (NB.  Councillor Mrs.J.A.Johnson has also replaced Councillor B.P.Bates on the Partnership and Strategic Services Scrutiny Panel).
 
6. South Western Staffordshire Primary Care Trust – Recovery Plan 2006/2007 – 2007/2008 (copy attached).
 
[NB. The Chief Executive (William Price) and Director of Public Health (Dr. Zafar Iqbal) for South Western Staffordshire PCT will attend the meeting to discuss this issue with the Scrutiny Panel].
 
7. Report of the Head of Governance and Scrutiny Services re: Decision of South Western Staffordshire PCT to invite tenders for the provision of Primary Medical Services in Kinver (copy attached). 
 
[The Chief Executive (William Price) and the Director of Public Health (Dr. Zafar Iqbal) will provide an update on and be available to discuss this issue with the Scrutiny Panel].
 
8. Report of the Head of Governance and Scrutiny Services re: Attendance at meetings of Cannock Chase Council Health Select Committee by Members of the Health Scrutiny Panel (copy attached).
 
9. Report of the Head of Governance and Scrutiny Services re: Representation of NHS Organisations at Meetings of the Health Scrutiny Panel (copy attached).
 
10.To note the following issues relating to Staffordshire Ambulance NHS Trust, which the Staffordshire County Council Health Scrutiny Committee has requested be drawn to the attention of the District/Borough Health Scrutiny Committees/Panels:
 
(a) Loss of PTS Contracts  - Letter from the Acting Chief Executive to the Chairman of Staffordshire County Council Health Scrutiny Committee (copy attached).
 
(b) Staffordshire Ambulance Service – The Future – Letter from the Chairman and the Acting Chief Executive (copy attached).
