Environmental Improvements
The superb landscape of South Staffordshire is too often taken
for granted. The Council seeks to protect its variety and
distinctiveness and to encourage its conservation and management.
The settings range from woodlands, heathland, floodland, and
farmland to 18th century parklands.
South Staffordshire Council is committed to improving the
environment of the village centres throughout the District. A
number of improvement schemes have been designed by the Council’s
landscape architectural staff and have been implemented by local
contractors. Requests for the improvements often come direct from
the local village communities.
The schemes are mainly developed in partnership with South
Staffordshire Council, the Parish Council and Staffordshire County
Council working together to create attractive environments for the
residents of the District.
