The registration of deaths is dealt with by Staffordshire Registration Service.  You must normally register a death within five days at the register office local to the place of death.  Please note that the register office for South Staffordshire is based at Wombourne Civic Centre and contact details for this are listed below.

 

Bereavement can cause enormous stress as one comes to terms with a loss.  Wombourne Register Office will do their utmost in helping people with the process of registering a death.  They will then pass any necessary information onto the Funeral Directors in order for them to arrange a burial or cremation.

 

Wombourne Register Office will also be able to provide a list of the information that will be required from a person in order to register a death.
