Baggeridge Poetry

National Poetry Day at Baggeridge Country Park
Inspired by national poetry day which
took place in September rangers at the park asked many of
their regular visitors to do some homework and come up with a poem
about Baggeridge. The resulting poems were displayed at strategic
points around the park.
Many people came across the poems and enjoyed
their discovery and some were inspired to put pen to paper
themselves.
Following the excellent response from visitors
it will become a regular project to place poems written by visitors
around the park for people to discover. A little personal touch
that may brighten someone’s day or inspire them to try out some
poetry for themselves.
If you feel inspired to have a go, then please
send them to us, by either emailing them to baggeridge.sstaffs@virgin.net
or just drop them into the rangers office on the park.
Don’t worry about whether you think they will be good enough just
have a go, it’s the personal touch that makes them
special.
