South Staffordshire Council are committed to providing
activities for children and young people. Below are Links to pages
on just some of the activities organised for children and young
people.
SUSSED is our exciting school holiday activity programme aimed
at children children aged 5 - 12. SUSSED activities take place
at all South Staffordshire Council Leisure Centre and Community
Venues within the district.
Yes its back!!!
The funding has been secured from Staffordshire Children
Fund for a fifth year! Which mean that the HUGE day of fun filled
activities is going to be taking place on Wednesday 25th August
2010.

Get Set Schools is South Staffordshire Councils schools
programme aimed at giving children a quality introduction to sport,
physical activity and arts activities.
South Staffordshire Council offers children the chance to enjoy and
learn a host of new skills. Get Set Schools in now established in
the majority of schools within the district. Qualified coaches and
artists who have been checked and cleared by the criminal records
bureaux run the after school clubs.

Natural High Schools Tour
The Natural High Schools Tour is a music tour which has been
running in South Staffordshire secondary schools for 4 years.
Children are educated in drug awareness, positive healthy
lifestyles and citizenship.
Wombourne Leisure Centre operates a OFSTED
registered creche facility. The qualified
team of staff at Little Sunshines offer a
friendly, stable and creative atmosphere for children aged
2-5.
FREE Swimming for all Children
under 16
As of 1st April 2009, all children under the age of 16 can swim
for free at all South Staffordshire Council Leisure Centres.
South Staffordshire Council has recently recruited a team of
new Playrangers who will be out and about in the district over the
coming months.
The Play Rangers will be out and about in the many villages of
South Staffordshire organising 'open access' play activities,
encouraging children and young people and their families to use
their local play areas to have fun and learn through play.
