Persons operating a food business
must register their establishment with their local authority at
least 28 days before food operations commence. On the basis
of the activities carried out, certain food business establishments
may require approval rather than registration.
If you are thinking of setting up
a food business, you should discuss your proposals with one of our
food safety officers (see contact details below) who will be
pleased to provide advice and guidance before you incur any
expenditure.
Erection of additional
facilities, or, charging the use of existing premises may require
prior approval under Town and Country Planning Acts and/or Building
Regulations.
