When problems arise that affect
part of the food supply chain the Food Standards Agency may issue
Food Alerts in respect of particular foodstuffs. The Council's Food
Safety Team, where appropriate, takes immediate action to
ensure that traders within South Staffordshire remove stocks of all
such food from sale.

There are no charges for reporting food that may be the subject of
a food safety alert.
