Exercise Classes
Cheslyn Hay Leisure centre offers a wide range of exercise sessions in it's Energise programme. Whether you want to tone, strengthen, burn fat or just improve general fitness. There is something for everyone and our qualified instructors will be happy to assist you in choosing the right class.
 
The Energise programme offers a wide, diverse and exciting programme for both keep fit enthusiasts and beginners.
 
Exercise Class Description
Spinning

A highly motivating cardiovascular workout on a

stationary bike.  The quickest way to burn those calories in

the shortest amount of time.

Get Fit Multi skill activities for an enjoyable workout.
Stay Fit

Set around a series of work stations this workout includes

cardiovascular fitness and muscle strength. 

All participants work to their own fitness levels.

Leg, Bums & Tums

Exactly as it says - muscle toning and shaping for the lower

body fitness.

Fitness Pilates A Pilates influenced conditioning workout for the whole body, which includes the use of Stability Balls.
Bodytone Conditioning class from top to toe.
Step n Tone Step combinations complimented by toning work.
Triple Challenge

Step, aerobics and body toning combined to make a

total body workout.

Physical Strength

Yoga

Asana yoga poses, develops flexibility and strength, and focus' the mind.

Yoga Fitness Yoga inspired workout. Incorporating yoga postures and Natural breathing techniques.
Yogalates

It is a combination of two favourite exercise classes combined

into 1 class. (Yoga+Pilates)

Rebound

High intensity exercise class that takes place on a

mini bouncer (trampette), an excellent fat burner.

Boxercise

A high intensity and total body workout that incorporates both upper and lower body exercise and co-ordination using boxing techniques.

Tai Chi Relaxes the mind and body.  Gently tones and strengthens muscles, and improves posture and balance.
You must be 16 to take part in any fitness classes.

Booking Procedures

 

All classes require payment on booking. We require 24 hours notice for cancellations. If less than 24 hours notice is given the money paid will be lost. If more than 24 hours notice is given we will transfer the booking to a different day. Cash refunds cannot be given.

 

Also please note that members are entitled to make bookings for activities and sessions up to 14 days in advance and non-members can make bookings up to 7 days in advance.

 

All customers must ensure they have registered their attendance at reception.

 

This is for the following reasons:-

In the event of a fire we have accurate registers telling us the amount of customers and where

To ensure that the number of people who attend equal the amount of working equipment

To ensure everyone in attendance has paid

 

Spot checks will be carried out on a random basis. If the class is full and you are not on the register YOU will be asked to leave. Therefore in order to avoid embarrassment, please register at the earliest opportunity.

 

Par-Q Form Screening Forms

All customers will need to complete a Par-Q screening form prior to attending any exercise class. If you have not already completed a Par-Q form, please ask at reception.

 

Upon completing the form, please hand to your class instructor to sign the form off, to enable you to participate. If you have any medical or health related problems that result in the instructor being unable to sign your form off, you will need to obtain a doctors note or letter to confirm that they are happy for you to attend the classes. In this instance, if a note cannot be obtained, you will not be permitted to participate in the classes.

 

Once you have completed a Par-Q it will be kept on file and used as a reference in the event of an emergency. If you have completed a Par-Q form and your health changes at any point, you must contact reception where you will be asked to complete a new form.
