Leisure Linx is a scheme offering customers that live within South Staffordshire and that are in receipt of specific benefits, discounts on activities and sessions taking place within the Leisure Centres.

 

The Leisure Linx card is available at Cheslyn hay, Codsall, Penkridge and Wombourne Leisure Centres and was initially developed in order to give people on lower income a greater opportunity to keep fit by making leisure facilities more affordable.

 

The Leisure Linx card can be set up on a Pay as You Go basis to allow customers the flexibility and freedom to use and pay for facilities as and when required.  If a customer decides to use the card on a pay as you go basis, the card will entitle the customer to reduced rates on facilities, making savings of up to 50% on individual activities and sessions during off peak times.

 

There is however also a Leisure Linx Membership which was launched on 1st July.  The Leisure Linx Membership involves the customer paying a small monthly fee which will then entitle them to free use of the facilities during off peak times.

Who Qualifies?

• People in receipt of working tax credit, income support, Housing benefit, council tax benefit (Dependants there of)
• A registered job seeker and in receipt of jobseekers allowance
• In receipt of incapacity benefit
• Carers in receipt of Carers Allowance or those registered as Carers with the Carers Association Southern Staffordshire.
• Must live within South Staffordshire

 

Registration and Fee?

• To register evidence of benefit will be needed.
• 2 forms of paper identification must be provided. ( One of which is your South Staffordshire Council Statement.)
• The card will last for a period of six months at a time, once the six months has expired the card and records will have to be updated.
• Register at any of our four centres
• One card per member (Families – one card per family member)
• Normal centre rules apply

Price Discounts?

• Maximum discount will be 50%
• The discount will however range from 10% - 50%

What’s not included?

• Members of Leisure Linx can gain discounts for individual activities only e.g. swimming the fitness suite.
• Members will not be able to utilise the discount card for group bookings such as badminton and five-a-side.
• Peak times are not included in the discount offer (see below).

Where is the discount being offered?

• Leisure Linx will be available at Codsall Leisure Centre, Cheslyn Hay Leisure Centre, Penkridge Leisure Centre and Wombourne Leisure Centre.
• The cards discount can only be used Off Peak Monday – Sunday 9.00am – 5.00pm

 

Admittance of Carers Policy

Did you know that if you are not a member of one of our Leisure Centres but you are attending a swimming pool or fitness suite session in order to look after someone that you care for, you are entitled as a carer to free admittance into the pool and fitness suite regardless of whether the session is a session specifically for people with disabilities of just a public session.

 

NEW Leisure Linx Membership Now Available

South Staffordshire Councils Leisure Facilities have recently reviewed their memberships and in doing so launched a whole host of new memberships in July.  As part of the launch, the Leisure Centres are now offering a Leisure Linx Membership which enables customers in receipt of the benefits mentioned above to a reduced price membership.  The Leisure Linx Membership can be purchased for only £10.00 per month and allows customers use of the facilities during off peak times.  A further addition has also recently been added with regards to who is eligible to qualify.  It has been highlighted that there is a need to accommodate carers and therefore as of September carers in receipt of Carers Allowance can now qualify for the scheme.
