Great News for Carers
After reviewing our memberships last year, we have really
tried to develop what we have got on offer to make our packages
suitable for all of our customers!
Our leisure centres offer a great scheme called Leisure Linx
which offers discounts on leisure activities for people in
receipt of specific benefits. The Leisure Linx Card can
either be used on a Pay As You Go basis entitling customers to
discounts of up to 50% on individual activities or alternatively
there is a Leisure Linx Membership whereby for only £10.40 per
month customers are entitled to free and unlimited use of most
leisure centre facilities from Monday - Sunday 09.00 -
17.00.
We are also trying to help carers, so
if you are a carer in receipt of Carers Allowance or those
registered with the Carers Association, you qualify for the
scheme.
Also, did you know that if you are not
a member of one of the leisure centres but are attending a swimming
session or fitness suite session with someone that you care for -
and you are attending in order to help them - you as the carer are
entitled to free entry in to the fitness suite and swimming pool
regardless of whether the session is a session specifically for
people with disabilities or just a public session!
Plus, have you heard about the Aerial
Ropes Adventure we have based at Baggeridge Country Park? Its a
great outdoor challenge suitable for team building and groups, and
is instructed by fully qualified and experienced staff from a
company called Closer To The Edge! The adventure is located 40ft
above the forest floor and you can do as much or as little as you
like, so if you are an avid climber or maybe even scared
of heights a little - it is a great day out - plus you can
spend part of the day looking around the park...s so much to do
there!
