Quest is a quality award for the leisure
industry, which is nationally recognised and has now been awarded
to over 800 leisure centres and 100 Sports development units. It
looks at a number of customer-focused areas and measures facility
performances against a set of agreed criteria. To achieve Quest
accreditation, a Leisure Centre has to achieve a mark in excess of
60% against those criteria, this is tested by a mystery visit and
secondly by a two-day visit by a trained Quest Assessor who
scrutinises the centre's procedures.
The award is valid for two years, and during
this period the centres will be visited on a further two occasions
to ensure standards are maintained, and the facility is pursuing a
programme of continuous improvement.
Wombourne Leisure Centre was inspected for the
first time in January 2004 and gained 67%, This was increased to
68% in 2006 and the centre has now achieved a very creditable 74%
in 2008.
Cheslyn Hay Leisure Centre is the second of
South Staffordshire's Leisure Centres to undergo inspection in
October 2005 and achieved another very good rating of 65%, which
has now increased to 71%.

gained accreditation on 2006 with 72% and 61% respectively, with
Codsall now increasing its score to 69% and Penkridge maintaining a
very creditable 72%
