Little Sunshine's Creche - Offer a bright future for your child!
Little Sunshine's Creche is open to the general public and
members of the leisure centre, so if your having a workout or
putting your feet up, 'Little Sunshines' creche offers flexible
childcare solutions to all parents.
All new children that attend the creche will receive a 1 hour
FREE TRIAL so that you can ensure that the creche
is right for you and your child.
The creche offers fully qualified and experienced
staff providing child care for 2 -5 year olds in a fun and
friendly environment, working in conjunction with The children's
centre situated in Wombourne Library and Community centre.
Staff/Child ratios
We have at least one member of staff to:-
- 4 children aged 2-3 years
- 8 children 3-5
The creche is Ofsted registered and follows the
Early Years Foundation Framework. To view the Ofsted registration

We provide a range of activities designed
specifically for the pre-school child. Your children will be
encouraged to participate in adult directed activities and free
play.
Six areas of learning
- Personal Social and Emotional development
- Language and Literacy
- Mathematics development
- Knowledge and Understanding of the world
- Physical development
- Creative development
The creche had a total refurbishment in 2008, encorporating
new welcoming and secure reception area, safe drinking water and
availability of secure storage units as well as new
toilet facilities and changing area. (See pictures below)
The creche also runs a Softplay session on Mondays, between
9.00am - 11.00am, which includes the bouncy castle and soft
toys. The session is a great way to meet other mums and get
to know our creche staff.
Booking and Cancellations
Members of the leisure centre can book children in 14 days in
advance. Non members are permitted to book 7 days in advance.
Parents are requested to adhere to their booked hours as late
collection can compromise staff/child ratio.
We ask that all booked places are cancelled with as much notice
as possible in order to allow places for other children
available.

*Please note due to training days or staff sickness
the staff quoted here may not actually be working.
There is a qualified first aider on duty everyday. Staff
develop a close relationship with the children and keep parents
informed each day of their childs progress.
We encourage the following measures;
- Visit us, see the creche, meet the staff
- Makes the staff aware of the childs routine,likes and
dislike
- Notify us of any changes in circumstances
- If any person other than a parent is collecting the child we
must be informed who that person is and a password is
required.
