National Planning Policy
Central government publishes a range
of Planning Policy Guidance Notes (PPG), now also referred to
as Planning Policy Statements (PPS)
The Council has to take these into
account in:
- deciding planning applications
- preparing its Local Plan
- preparing Supplementary Planning Guidance
- commenting on proposals in adjoining local authority
areas.

[MPG's]. Minerals are a matter dealt with by Staffordshire
County Council.
