Comments
You must understand that any representations submitted using the
'Comments' facility will be made publicly available (including to
the applicant and their agent) and that confidential
representations cannot be taken into account by the Council.
We would welcome your general comments about this new service
- how easy you find it to use and any further information you might
like to see. Suggestions about its future development would be very
helpful. Please contact us with any comments you would like to
make.
Notes for users
We are currently working towards adding documents and plans
submitted with applications that you will be able to view under the
'associated documents' tab. We hope that this will be available in
the near future. Copies of all the drawings and associated
documents are however available for viewing at the Council
Offices.
Limitations
At present, the data which the site draws on is incomplete.
Therefore public access must not be used as a substitute for
carrying out a formal 'Local Land Charge Search'.
No responsibility will be taken for any errors or omissions in
the planning history information obtained from public access.
Similarly, the information contained within public access does not
in any way constitute a formal notification of a planning decision,
and as such any actions taken as a result of information displayed
on the site are undertaken entirely at the viewer's own risk.
The online planning history contained within the site at
present is incomplete and should not be relied upon in connection
with a property transaction. Anyone wishing to obtain planning
information for this purpose is advised to carry out a local land
charges search through the Council's Local Land Charges Section or
the National Land Information Service (NLIS) using one the official
licensed channels.
If information is not available you may wish to try again a
few days later, or alternatively you will be able to view the
planning application information in addition to the plans and
associated documents at the Council Offices during normal office
hours. South Staffordshire Council reserves the right to remove or
not display certain planning application information for
confidentiality or other reasons
This service does not currently provide access to
documentation such as copies of application forms, site plans,
drawings and other relevant papers. This capability will be
provided in the future, as the service is developed further. In the
meantime, please contact the Council Offices during normal office
hours for details of associated documents.
Submitting Comments
If you wish to submit any comments about an application we
encourage you to do this within 3 weeks of the date it became
valid. Please note that your comments will be added to the
application file, which can be made available for public enquiry
and may eventually be viewable on our website. We cannot treat your
comments, or any part of your email or letter, including any
personal details, as confidential.
Service Availability
The PublicAccess service is normally available for 24 hours, 7
days a week, except for periods set aside for system maintenance
which will usually take place between 11.00pm and 3.00am.
Data Protection
South Staffordshire Council seeks to comply with all
statutory requirements including the Data Protection Act (1998) in
all its transactions.
Copyright
Plans, drawing and material submitted to the Council are
protected by the Copyright Acts (Section 47, 1988 Act). You may
only use material which is downloaded and/or printed for
