As well as planning guidance at the national level the Government also produces Regional Planning Guidance [RPG].

 

Regional Guidance for the West Midlands, which includes Staffordshire and South Staffordshire, is contained in RPG11. RPG11 was published in April 1998.  A revised RPG has been prepared and was the subject of an examination in Public in 2002. The recommendations of the panel have been published and the decision of the Deputy Prime Minister is awaited.
