The Open Space Strategy for South
Staffordshire has been prepared following the completion of a
lengthy and detailed audit of open spaces across the
district. The Council is now at the stage where the results
of the Open Space Audit need to be taken forward through the
preparation of a robust strategy that guides the way in which all
issues in relation to open space are addressed over the next ten
years.
This adopted strategy
document summarises the key findings of the Open Space Audit and
details the Council's vision for open spaces in the District.
The accompanying action plan identifies objectives that will enable
the vision to be achieved. The document is intended to be
straightforward and comprises of just five key chapters that set
out the vision, the current picture in relation to open space, ways
to achieve the vision and the objectives and actions that form the
basis for delivering the strategy.
Over the next ten years,
delivery against the action plan will ensure that open spaces in
the District are of high value in all respects and are valued by
the whole community.
