Landscape
Services
The Council’s Landscape Planning
Services team offer a full professional range of landscape services
from initial consultation through to the completion of a project on
the ground. A fee is normally charged and is calculated either on a
time basis or as a fee of the project implementation value.
The service unit offers a
range of services from site evaluation through to design,
implementation and aftercare. We have wide ranging expertise
covering parks and open spaces, civic spaces, urban and rural
environmental improvements, play-related facilities, urban forestry
and cemetery design.
There is a particular
focus on the integration of bespoke elements and / or public art
into environmental improvement schemes including the preparation of
artist briefs. We have additional expertise in countryside
management, arboriculture, project management, public consultation
and CDM (Construction Design and Management) co-ordinator
services.
Further, we have
researched, designed and implemented innovative environmental based
solutions to control populations of Canada Geese. The Landscape
Design staff are committed to innovative ‘outside the box’ design
thinking that rejects the mundane and this manifests itself in our
work.
Our experience of project work includes
