Hinksford Mobile Home
Park
Hinksford Mobile Home Park is a
permanent residential mobile home park owned and managed by the
Council. It is situated off Hinksford Lane approximately one
mile south of the village of Swindon, and extends to approximately
5.5 hectares (13.5 acres). It provides facilities and pitches
for the stationing of 137 mobile homes. There are also a
number of garages on the Park which are let to residents on a
weekly charge.
The site is managed
through the Council’s Commercial Development Section and a
resident on-site Site Officer to deal with the day to day running
and management of the Park.
Mobile Homes on the Park
are owned by the residents themselves who pay an annual ground rent
to the Council (£1,209.80 for 2009/10). From time to time
residents will offer their homes for sale;
to
assist residents in this process the link below gives
details of those
homes that prospective
sellers have given to the Council.
Although there is a formal process to be completed through
the Council when buying a mobile home on the Park, the Council take
no part in negotiations and have no responsibilities with regard to
the details given or sale price in respect of individual
properties. Prospective purchasers should always satisfy
themselves on the accuracy or otherwise of any details given.
A 10% commission of any sale price agreed is payable to the
Council.
