What Is Council Tax?
Council Tax is a local tax set and collected by South
Staffordshire District Council to help pay for local services
provided by South Staffordshire District Council, Staffordshire
County Council, Staffordshire Police Authority, Stoke on Trent and
Staffordshire Fire Authority and Parish Councils. Like any general
tax it is payable by any liable person whether or not any
particular service is used.
