South Staffordshire Council is responsible for
organising and conducting all elections, referenda and occasional
by-elections within its area from Parish level to European
Parliamentary level.
The Council follows statutory timetables, arranges the staffing
and running of polling stations, the delivery of poll cards and a
results service.
The Council's own District elections take place every 4 years on
an all-out election cycle. This means that all 25 Wards for
49 Council seats are up at the same time.
The date for the District elections coincide with the Parish
Council elections and these elections take place on the 1st
Thursday in May. The next scheduled District and Parish
elections are in 2011.
The results and information pertaining to specific elections or
referenda, can be found by following the links for the relevant
year in the right-hand menu.
