Anonymous Registration
Frequently Asked Questions
- When can you consider applications
for anonymous registration for voters?
We can accept and consider an application for
anonymous registration at any time.
- Who can apply for anonymous
registration?
If you believe that having your name and address on the register
would put you or others in your household in danger, then you
can apply. Examples could include fear of domestic violence or
if you hold a particularly sensitive job.
- In my area there is a prison, will
all prison staff be eligible to apply for anonymous
registration?
No, not all prison staff will be eligible for
anonymous registration - they will have to meet a set
criteria.
- What kind of evidence is required
to donate to a political party if you have an anonymous
entry?
If your application to register anonymously is
successful then we'll issue you with a certificate of anonymous
registration. You can use this to donate to a political
party.
- What happens if an objection is
made about my anonymous registration?
An objection cannot be made to an
application for anonymous registration because your
details would not be included on the register.
