The table below shows the performance of our Electoral Registration Officer Steve Winterflood against

the performance standards published in July 2008. There are 10 standards divided into 4 subject areas.

Electoral Registration Officers reported on their performance following the annual canvass of electors.

Every year during the autumn canvass we carry out a survey of a number of electors to seek their views

As from 2012 there is just one area where the ERO is not "above standard" and to achieve this would involve considerable additional resource and currently is not considered achievable.

After all elections we survey the views of our stakeholders such as candidates and agents, we do

2011 onwards

 

As from the elections in 2011 the Electoral Commission has changed how they monitor and compare performance of Returning Officers and this is now active monitoring during an election by the submission of documents and data at key periods.  

 

For 2012 the assessment of the Electoral Commission was that all 9 areas that they assessed the Returning Officer on were met from planning the election, to organising the count.
