Role of Electoral Register in Credit Granting

 

The three main credit reference agencies in the Country all purchase South Staffordshire Council's electoral registers.  These companies are Equifax, Experian and CallCredit.  They are allowed by law to purchase the full published version of the register to check your name and address to check that they are correct when you apply for credit. All three of this credit reference agencies receive the monthly updates from this Council.

 

If you notice any inaccuracies on your credit report from any of these agencies, you should contact the Consumer Help Service immediately and they will investigate the situation on your behalf.  Contact details below.
