dangerous buildingsThese can present themselves in a number of ways. Typical examples include weathered chimneys, loose roof tiles, damaged or leaning boundary walls and fences that are at risk of collapse, inadequately supported building works, accident or fire damage etc.
 
The Council has statutory powers to deal with dangerous buildings and structures and can send out an engineer or a building inspector to assess the situation and decide what course of action needs to be taken.

 

 

How to Access This Service
If you are concerned about a particular building or structure within South Staffordshire that you consider may be dangerous and you require advice or help, please report the situation to the Engineering Services Unit by contacting (01902) 696541 (between 8:45 am and 5pm Monday to Friday)
 
or email to engineers@sstaffs.gov.uk or

by completing our online Report form
 
In an emergency situation outside of the above hours, you should contact your nearest available police station for further assistance.
