Friends Groups
Friends groups will vary according
to the interests of the people involved and the nature of the green
space which has been 'befriended'. It may be a formal
park, an open space, churchyard or one of the many natural areas in
South Staffordshire.
A group will normally consist of
neighbours and users of green space together with interest groups
and representatives of other organisations which have an interest
in the area. Meetings will take place according to the needs
of the group themselves; it can be once a month or as little as
once a year.
South Staffordshire Council
actively encourages and supports the formation of friends groups.
If there is a space near you, or an area which you use and
care about, why not get together with friends and neighbours and
help to make it a space to be proud of?
