When the council offices are closed a pre-recorded message is available on the main switchboard number. This gives brief information and relevant contact details for public use.

 

The Council also has a call centre to deal with out-of-hours emergencies on homelessness and to give advice on general enquiries. The call centre can also provide limited information on who to contact regarding certain other types of emergency.

 

Please note that the Council does not normally provide an out-of-hours response to deal with the following complaints:

 

• Noise nuisance
• Missed bin collections
• Pest nuisance or infestations
• Planning matters

Queries regarding the above should be referred to the appropriate service unit via the council's main switchboard during office hours.
