Climate Change
What is Climate
Change?
The Earth is heating up. Today, scientists
are worried that over the past 100 years the average temperature on
Earth has gone up by 0.6 degrees Centigrade. That might not sound a
lot but during the last Ice Age, the average temperature was only 5
degrees Centigrade less than it is today.
Even small temperature changes can
have a big impact on the Earth’s climate. Most scientists agree
that it is the things humans do that are causing the Earth to warm
up much faster than it would do naturally.
