Warm Front Scheme

Warmfront

Are you vulnerable to the cold, disabled, elderly, or do you have children in the home? If so the Warm Front Scheme may be able to help towards the cost of energy saving measures in the home.

If you own your own home or rent it from a private landlord, you may be eligible for a grant of up to £3,500 (or £6,000 if oil central heating is involved) under the Warm Front Scheme.

The Warm Front scheme is now targeted at people on certain income-related benefits and living in properties that are poorly insulated and/or do not have a working central heating system.

Packages include:

  • Loft Insulation
  • Cavity Wall Insulation
  • Hot Water Tank Jacket

Utility Companies

Those who do not qualify for grant funding under Warm Front may be able to apply for a discount from their fuel supplier. Most utility companies now offer grants for cavity wall and loft insulation, but the amount of grant differs between companies. For more information contact your supplier.

Low Carbon Buildings Programme

The Low carbon buildings programme provides grants for microgeneration technologies for householders, community organisations, schools, the public sector and businesses. For more information for householders visit the Low carbon buildings programme website.
