On 1st October 2008 new Tree Preservation Order regulations come into force. These introduce a new national standard application form for work to protected trees and a fast track appeals system.

 

Please note that from the 1 October there will be no transitional period to accept applications by any means other than the new form.

 

The application form to carry out works on trees protected by a Tree Preservation Order (TPO) and guidance notes are available for download below.

 
The local authority is responsible for the efficient management of trees within the authority. This includes the application of Tree Preservation Orders (TPO's) and the protection of trees within conservation areas.  For enquiries, please contact the Senior Arboricultural Officer via the details below.
