We ensure that South Staffordshire is kept free of
litter and refuse.
It is an offence under the Environmental Protection Act 1990, for
any person to fly tip / dump rubbish on any land in the open air.
Where Flytipping / Dumping is
reported, the Council will investigate and if necessary clear the
rubbish from public land.
If anyone reports the offence to the
Council and has witnessed the incident, a statement will be taken
from the witness and where possible the offender will be traced.
This can be done through vehicle registration plates. The
offender, if traced, will be interviewed under
caution. Where there is sufficient evidence we will
normally prosecute offenders.
If found guilty of the offence at
Crown Court, the offender may be liable for a fine of up
