South Staffordshire's resident's survey is a way of regularly consulting local people and finding out about residents key priority areas.
South Staffordshire Council appointed BMG Research an external consultancy to conduct resident surveys on behalf of the Council. In 2010, BMG were tasked with recruiting and maintaining a residents panel for South Staffordshire, the panel was made up of 1000 residents in the district.
Following a review in 2015, the survey is now distributed to a randomly-sampled selection of South Staffordshire addresses. The resident's survey is used to measure satisfaction with Council services and key priority areas, as it provides a statistically sound measure of resident perceptions.
The latest residents survey is themed around the three core priorities set out in the 2016-2020 Council Plan:
1. A Skilled and Prosperous district
2. A Safe and Sustainable District
3. A Connected District.
The questionnaire was mailed to a randomly-sampled selection of addresses during the summer. The results are statistically representative (-/+ 5%) of those that would be given by the total adult population living in South Staffordshire.
