South Staffordshire Council operates a number of deployable CCTV cameras in the district which are monitoring open spaces and providing a deterrent to crime, gathering evidence for the police to identify offenders and providing reassurance to residents.
We comply with the government’s surveillance camera code of practice which is detailed in our CCTV code of practice, which describes why and how we use CCTV systems. Our code was reviewed and adopted in April 2022.
If you would like to request images from the CCTV cameras, please email info@sstaffs.gov.uk. In the subject field please specify: “Subject Access Request from CCTV” and explain in the body of the email: the reason for the request, the date and time of the information required. Please also provide your name, address, and date of birth plus any other contact information (mobile phone etc).
