Public Health Licence Registration
(For Skin Piercing, Tattooing, Micro- Blading, Electrolysis etc)
Under the provisions of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1982, registration is required to undertake the practice of ear-piercing, skin piercing, electrolysis, acupuncture, micro-blading and tattooing, (including semi-permanent skin colouring) or to carry out such a business.
It is an offence to operate as any of the above without a valid registration or, in non-compliance with any byelaws attached to any registration issued.
Premises will always be inspected before a registration certificate is issued and inspections to assess compliance with the bye-laws may be made at any time once registration has been issued.

Erection of additional facilities, or, changing the use of existing premises may require prior approval under Town and Country Planning Acts and/or Building Regulations.

£141.00 is payable for registration of additional practitioners/artists in businesses already registered.
