Strawberry Lane Cemetery, Great Wyrley
Strawberry Lane Cemetery in Great Wyrley opened in July 2013. The simple but effective design aims to combine the practical needs of a working cemetery along with conservation and habitat creation. The site will be developed to provide approximately 8,000 burial plots and it is anticipated that this will last for around 50 years.
The cemetery is adjacent to the Wyrley and Essington canal, which has Local Nature Reserve (LNR) status and panoramic views of rural Staffordshire can be seen from the site.
The site is open every day of the year at the following times:
Summer: 1st April to 30th September - Daily 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Winter: 1st October to 31st March - Daily 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
