Mystery of the curry fly-tip
Released on 3 April 2019
South Staffordshire Council is appealing for information about a large volume of curry and catering equipment that was fly-tipped on Pendeford Hall Lane, Bilbrook on Tuesday 26 February 2018. The origin of the catering equipment is unknown and the Council would like to locate the owner to return the items which are estimated to be worth about £1,000.
The incident was caught on camera and the vehicle used was a white high top Mercedes Sprinter van registration number SB64 2LU. The driver who dumped the items was a white male, aged between 20-30 years old and is of slim build with short cropped blonde hair. He was wearing a yellow T-shirt and yellow rubber gloves. Officers from the Council's Enforcement Team interviewed the registered keeper of the vehicle under caution and it came to light that the offending vehicle was on cloned number plates. The Council would like to trace the male in the photograph in connection with the fly-tip.
If anyone has any information regarding the offender, the vehicle or the origin of the fly- tipped items, please contact South Staffordshire Council on 01902 696000 or via email on firstname.lastname@example.org
