This is the last week of collections for the year.
Collections will recommence in the New Year from Monday, 13th January, 2024.
Closed churchyards
Find out about the closed churchyards that the council is responsible for across the district
We are currently responsible for the maintenance of the following four closed churchyards:
- St. Benedict Biscop in Wombourne
- St. John the Evangelist in Swindon
- St. Paul's in Coven
- St. Peter's in Kinver
A churchyard can become closed under one of the following circumstances:
- It is full and there is no space for any new burial plots.
- The continued use of the churchyard for burials may constitute either a risk to safety or be contrary to decency.
- If not allowing any further burials to take place may prevent or mitigate nuisance.
