In relation to the Election payments for District, Parish and County Elections, we follow the County Councils fees and charges order, this sets out the staff payments at Polling Stations and also the Returning Officer fee formula. For national elections, referendums and the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner election, the Returning Officer fee is set by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government Office.
