There are no appeal rights against the local Council Tax Support Scheme
However, you can dispute, request an explanation or a reconsideration of you think the amounts or dates used within our decision are incorrect, this may include details of your household, income or capital.

You should contact us and tell us why you think it is wrong, we will have another look at it and correct any errors. There is no time limit in requesting this however this must be done in writing and must be signed by the person who is affected by the decision.
If you do not tell us you may be paying to much Council Tax. On the other hand you may be not paying enough, which we will have to recover from you later. If we do not respond to you within 2 months, or if you still do not agree with our decision you may appeal direct to the Valuation Tribunal. You should write to us stating why you think it is wrong. We will look at your claim again and write to you with our decision. If we do not respond to you within 2 months, or if you still do not agree with our decision you may appeal direct to the Valuation Tribunal. You have a further 2 months in which to contact the Valuation Tribunal.
