Highway Sweeping

South Staffordshire Council are responsible for the routine sweeping of the public highway. Sweeping is carried out following a set schedule of arterial and link roads throughout the district and villages with the aim of carrying out four sweeps per year. Additional sweeping can be carried out, if necessary, upon request.

Please note that gully emptying and the removal of spillages on the public highway (e.g. paint, debris, hedge cuttings and any material brought on to the highway from farmers fields, quarries or similar) is the responsibility of Staffordshire County Council.
