Community Involvement
Friends Groups
South Staffordshire Council actively encourages and supports the creation of Friends Groups. If there is an open space near you, or an area which you use and care about, why not get together with friends and neighbours and help to make it a space to be proud of?
Friends Groups will vary according to the interests of the people involved and the nature of the open space. A group will normally consist of neighbours and users of an open space together with interest groups and representatives of other organisations which have an interest in the area. Meetings take place according to the needs of the group; it can be as often as once a month or as little as once a year.
