Help to Keep Your Home Warm

Warmer Homes

Free Home Energy Check

The Council's Warmer Homes Energy Check, is provided by trained, DBS checked energy advisor. We will visit your home to help you save energy, reduce your energy bills, resolve billing issues and help you access grants for energy efficiency improvements such as insulation and heating. We also offer ‘handyman' visits to include draught proofing, fit low energy lighting and other small energy saving devices. Visits usually last around an hour. We try and provide visits to everyone who needs them, such as people on lower incomes, young families, older people and those in ill health.

WHF First Install 2

Free gas connection and central heating

Funding is now available to connect your home to the gas network and install a brand new gas central heating system, where the neighbouring properties have mains gas heating. If you or someone you know doesn't have gas central heating in your home and you're using electric heaters, electric panels, gas fires or solid fuel fires, switching to gas central heating will save you money on your energy bills and increase your home's comfort and we could help.

We've already been helping people in Perton and Featherstone. See the video story of one family we helped by clicking here
