This is the last week of collections for the year.
Collections will recommence in the New Year from Monday, 13th January, 2024.
The council's approach to a range of housing and homelessness issues in the district.
The Housing and Homelessness Strategy for South Staffordshire was adopted by the council on December 20th 2022. Over the period 2023-2027, the strategy seeks to ensure that everyone in South Staffordshire is able to afford a home that is suitable for them, whether it be on the open market, or through a local Registered Provider.

An update to the strategy has provided the opportunity to recognise the important role of the district’s housing stock in the environment, and more specifically, the climate change agenda.
The Strategy focuses on four priorities:
A draft strategy was subject to public consultation in September/October 2022. All responses were carefully considered. A summary of responses and the Council’s comments is available below.
The Strategic Planning Team manages and maintains a register of persons who have an interest in local planning documents (Local Plan Database); those who wish to register their interest or land for future development on our Self and Custom Build Register and/or Strategic Housing and Employment Land Availability Assessment (SHELAA); those who have commented on emerging council strategy documents; and information regarding historic home improvement grants and empty properties. In order to do this in an effective way we will need to collect and use personal information about you.
