Cooling towers and evaporative condensers

The main purpose of the law is to help in the investigation of legionnaires' disease.  

Some air conditioning systems may pose potential health risks if not properly maintained, for example, those which use evaporative cooling. 

The main purposes of the registration are to: 

• identify potential areas that could increase the possibility of the spread of infectious disease, such as Legionella 
• ensure that suitable control measures are in place to protect employees and the general public from the risk of infection by such organisms. 

• Apply by completing the notification form.  - U drive Cooling towers. 
• Alternatively you can now apply online.
• There is no fee for this application.
